The Game Tribe has reportedly applied to the UK Gambling Commission for gambling software and pool betting licences. The London-based start-up plans to offer pool-based betting products and says it has two games ready for launch; the report also says it completed an initial funding round but gives no amount.
The application could determine whether the start-up can offer its planned betting products in the UK.

IG Group plans to enter the UK prediction markets sector, targeting a launch as early as late 2026 or 2027, executives said at its Capital Markets Event on 22 October. The move follows the London-based firm's application for a UK Gambling Commission betting licence a week earlier. IG Consumer is expected to lead the project.
Big Daddy Gaming has obtained a supplier licence from Britain's Gambling Commission, the slot studio announced. The approval adds the UK to its existing licences in Sweden and Malta, the company said. CEO Erland Hellström said the licence rounds off the studio's first year of operations.
Reportedly, IG Group has applied to the UKGC for a sports betting licence. The application follows its acquisition of US prediction market Underdog earlier this year.
Design Works Gaming has accrued 12 licences across Europe and North America since entering real-money gaming in 2020, according to an Online Poker Report overview. The Scottsdale, Arizona studio's UK entities are licensed by the Gambling Commission, and it holds certification in New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Connecticut.
IGT is licensed by gaming commissions in every US state with legal online casinos, including New Jersey, Michigan and Pennsylvania, and by the Malta Gaming Authority, the UK Gambling Commission and the Alderney Gambling Control Commission, according to an Online Poker Report overview. The report said Apollo Global Management completed a $6.3bn acquisition of IGT's Gaming & Digital division and Everi Holdings in July 2025.
