Taiwan authorities indict 10 over alleged casino-linked money laundering
Taiwan’s Criminal Investigation Bureau said it ended a scheme that allegedly used Macau casinos to launder illicit proceeds. The Yunlin District Prosecutors Office said authorities uncovered almost $9 billion in laundered funds, including $1 billion transferred into Taiwan, and seized $8 million.
The case concerns alleged laundering through Macau casinos and may inform compliance scrutiny of casino transactions.
