Study reports underage access attempts at US sportsbooks

Regulation

A study based on suspected-fraud reports from ten US states found that minors continue trying to access sportsbook accounts, with operators detecting and suspending or banning accounts, according to the report. DraftKings reported about 4,800 prevented registration attempts and 243 disabled accounts in Massachusetts last year; FanDuel reported 330 accounts shut down and 186 blocked attempts.

The reported cases put age-verification controls and operator reporting practices under scrutiny across US markets.
