Spain’s Ministry of Social Rights, Consumer Affairs and Agenda 2030 appointed Bárbara Iacoangeli as a technical adviser in the DGOJ’s gambling regulation sub-directorate, reportedly on 30 July 2026. The appointment followed a recruitment process launched in May, and Iacoangeli will fill a level 28 post.
The appointment adds a named official to the DGOJ unit responsible for gambling regulation.

The Gambling Commission announced that Sarah Fox has joined its leadership team on secondment from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. She will oversee policy, research and statistics, as well as National Lottery regulation, after leading the department’s Gambling and Lotteries team for four years.
