South Korean authorities extradite two alleged gambling-network operators
South Korean authorities brought two suspects from the UAE to South Korea on 4 July over allegations that they ran separate illegal online gambling networks. Authorities accuse the pair of handling about KRW5.3 trillion in wagers combined; one suspect also faces an allegation of evading KRW66 billion in taxes. The cases are unrelated, and investigations are continuing.
The extraditions show enforcement action against alleged cross-border illegal gambling operations involving substantial wager volumes.
