SJM reports HK$295m first-half loss as Macau revenue falls 20.8%
SJM Holdings reported a loss attributable to owners of HK$295 million for the first half of 2026, up 61.7% year on year. Group net revenue declined 20.8% to HK$11.59 billion, while adjusted EBITDA rose 3.3% to HK$1.70 billion. SJM said higher depreciation and finance costs primarily contributed to the wider loss and cautioned that the period was not directly comparable with the prior year after its satellite casinos closed in December 2025.
The results show operators and investors the financial effects SJM attributes to its shift away from satellite casinos.
