SGLA urges Indiana lawmakers to regulate social games under HB 1052
The Social Gaming Leadership Alliance urged Indiana lawmakers to regulate rather than prohibit certain sweepstakes-style social games as they consider House Bill 1052. The group said its proposed framework could generate more than $20 million annually for Indiana through player purchase taxes and operator registration fees.
The bill could determine whether affected social gaming businesses may operate in Indiana and under what framework.
