Sapar urges Italy to retain local gaming-machine operators in retail reform

Regulation

Sapar urged Italy’s government to include domestic gaming-machine management businesses in the proposed retail gambling reform, following remarks by Deputy Finance Minister Maurizio Leo at an ADM event in Rome. Leo said the reform was under government review and could go before a future Council of Ministers; Sapar warned that draft tender plans could threaten smaller operators and concentrate the market.

The proposed reform could affect the role and market position of Italy’s gaming-machine management businesses.
