Russian lawyer questions enforcement of proposed online casino age limits

Regulation

Lawyer Olga Fedorova said Russia would need mandatory identity and age checks, backed by penalties, to enforce an age limit if online casinos are legalised. The Civic Chamber has proposed limiting access to people aged 21 and above, while the Finance Ministry has proposed legalisation and a 30% annual tax, less winnings payouts.

Operators would need identity and age controls if Russia proceeds with the proposed online casino framework.
