Romania’s ONJN reports expanded gambling oversight measures

Regulation

Romania’s ONJN said it had acted on findings from the Court of Accounts’ follow-up review of its 2024 operations, including controls on operators, online monitoring and action against illegal gambling. The authority said it added more than 300 sites to its blacklist in 2025, bringing the total above 1,100, and that compliance with content-removal orders reached 98%.

The reported measures affect operator tax checks, online monitoring and enforcement against unlicensed gambling sites.
