PhilWeb Corporation’s board elected Lance Gokongwei as a director at its 9 July meeting, according to a Philippine Stock Exchange filing. He joined after subscribing for shares worth PHP2.03 billion; the board also elected Aldous Brigino as an independent director to fill a second vacancy.
Gokongwei’s board appointment formalises his role at PhilWeb following his substantial personal share investment.

PhilWeb said it is preparing to supply MegaWin digital casino games to Philippine gaming operators under an exclusive partnership, targeting a fourth-quarter 2026 rollout. The offering is intended for casino resorts and domestic gaming platforms, with software designed to connect to partner backend networks.
PhilWeb and its wholly owned subsidiary PhilWeb Capital have agreed to invest a combined nearly PHP4.23bn in JKS Tech Solutions in the Philippines, citing PhilWeb's Monday filing. JKS Tech Solutions administers gaming systems and holds accreditation from the country's casino regulator.
Reportedly, PhilWeb entered a cross-investment agreement worth US$67.4m with JKS Tech Solutions. The arrangement involves a series of transactions between the Philippine gaming platform provider and JKS Tech Solutions.
It was reported that PhilWeb earned PHP47m in net income during the second quarter of 2026. It had lost PHP16.3m a year earlier, while growth in B2B online gaming helped sales almost double.
Universal Entertainment Corp said Okada Manila will target mass-market customers and develop online gaming after a challenging second quarter in the Philippines. For the three months to 30 June, net sales fell 13.0% year on year to JPY30.1 billion and adjusted EBITDA declined 62.5% to JPY2.74 billion; the company also cited the launch of OKADA PLAY with platform operator PhilWeb Corporation.
