Pennsylvania representative proposes school geofencing for online gambling

Regulation

Pennsylvania state representative Jason Ortitay has introduced House Bill 2631, which would require licensed online gambling and sports betting operators to block access from inside school buildings. Developed in coordination with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, the bill proposes geospatial boundaries around schools and awaits consideration by the House Gaming Oversight Committee.

Operators would need geospatial controls to prevent access to their platforms from inside school buildings if the bill advances.
