Pennsylvania casinos generated $590.6 million in gaming revenue in January, up 11.6% year on year, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported. The total included $249.3 million from online gaming, while sports betting revenue was $71.4 million on a handle of $782.4 million.
The figures give operators and investors a regulator-reported view of Pennsylvania gaming performance across sectors.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board urged the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to address what it described as gaps in oversight of prediction markets. The board argued that such platforms can resemble sportsbooks but may lack state requirements including a minimum participation age of 21 and monitoring for suspicious activity.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported $59,275,463 in wagers on the 2026 Super Bowl in Pennsylvania, down 41.6% from the previous year. Revenue was $18,143,469, compared with a loss of $6,532,147 in the prior Super Bowl period; 90.6% of wagers were placed online.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board placed 15 people on its involuntary exclusion lists, including four adults added to the casino exclusion list after leaving children unattended on casino property while gambling. The incidents involved vehicles at four casinos, with the reported periods ranging from 16 minutes to more than an hour, the board said.
