PAGCOR launched a round-the-clock National Problem Gambling Helpline in partnership with Seagulls Flock Organization Inc. PAGCOR said the service connects people experiencing gambling-related problems with trained counsellors; the programme currently has 12 para-counsellors working across three daily shifts.
The helpline adds a continuous support and referral route for people experiencing gambling-related problems.

Reportedly, PAGCOR plans to launch an app later this year to help players in the Philippines identify licensed online gaming platforms. The app will supplement PAGCOR Guarantee, the regulator’s website for checking licences, established in 2025.
PAGCOR plans to launch an app by the end of 2026 to help players identify licensed online gaming operators, its chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco told a House budget hearing on 24 August. Tengco said the app is also expected to provide a dispute-resolution channel for users of licensed platforms.
It was reported that PAGCOR welcomed officials from Malawi’s MAGLA for a regulatory knowledge exchange. The programme aims to support development of Malawi’s gaming industry.
PAGCOR chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco said the Governance Commission for Government-Owned or -Controlled Corporations was expected to submit a recommendation on separating PAGCOR’s regulatory and casino-operating functions in August. Tengco said the Office of the President would study the proposal, with an executive order expected by the end of the year; PAGCOR also expects gaming activity to improve in the second half of 2026.
PAGCOR remitted PHP5.67 billion in dividends to the Philippine government for fiscal year 2025, the agency said. The payment represented 50% of its 2025 income and ranked fifth among contributions from 50 government-owned and controlled corporations.
