New Zealand is moving to prohibit credit-card payments for gambling, including deposits through e-wallets funded by credit cards, according to the report. Internal Affairs Minister Brooke van Velden supported the measure as part of safeguards being developed alongside the country’s online casino framework.

Maine lawmakers sent LD2080, a bill barring credit-card wagers in sports betting and internet gaming, to Governor Janet Mills for approval, according to the report.
