Nevada gaming board denies pressuring venue to cancel prediction-market conference

Regulation

The Nevada Gaming Control Board said it did not direct or pressure a venue to cancel or decline to host Predict 2026, after organisers said regulatory pressure led to the termination of their Las Vegas venue contract. The organisers said the 7–9 December event had moved to New York City; the board said gaming licensees should check compliance with applicable laws.

The dispute concerns whether Nevada gaming oversight influenced a venue’s decision to host a prediction-markets conference.
