Nepal Police arrest eight over alleged cross-border betting operation
Nepal Police arrested eight people after raiding a property in Pokhara suspected of hosting an online betting operation, reportedly. Investigators allege the network processed more than NPR 200m in transactions since May and generated daily profits of INR 300,000 to INR 400,000. The suspects remain in custody as police trace funds and investigate possible links to other branches.
The investigation concerns alleged illegal betting, cross-border payment flows and a wider network of operators.
