Nederlandse Loterij shareholders approved Raymond Knops as chair of the company’s supervisory board at their meeting on Friday. The appointment takes effect in the new year, succeeding Alexander Pechtold, who left after becoming mayor of Delft.

D66 nominated Eelco Eerenberg for the role of state secretary for finance in the Netherlands. The position includes oversight of state-owned Nederlandse Loterij and Holland Casino, as well as gambling tax. Eerenberg is expected to meet formateur Rob Jetten on Friday, the report said.
A serious PHP vulnerability that led several Dutch organisations to take websites offline did not cause confirmed outages at legal online gambling providers, CasinoNieuws.nl reported after checking 30 licensed sites.
