Italy’s Ministry of Economy and Finance reported €2.524bn in total gaming-related tax revenue for January-April 2026, down €213m or 7.8% year on year. Indirect tax revenue from gaming activities was €2.113bn, a fall of €247m or 10.5%.
The figures show lower gaming-related tax receipts in Italy during the first four months of 2026.

Italy's Ministry of Economy and Finance reported €1.049bn in state tax revenue from lotteries and other gaming activities in January and February 2026. The total was €216m, or 17.1%, below the same period a year earlier, according to the ministry's revenue report.
Brazil's Federal Revenue Service collected BRL4.586bn ($886.2m) in betting taxes between January and April 2026, almost double the BRL2.283bn in the same period of 2025, according to figures cited in an iGaming Business article by Alex W. Pariente. The revenue came from 87 licensed operators, up from 49 at the start of the market's first full year, while independent estimates cited in the report put illegal betting at 41% to 51% of total activity.
Macau’s Financial Services Bureau reported gaming tax revenue of MOP34.87bn for January to April 2026, up 16.8% year on year. April collections totalled MOP9.07bn, 18.7% higher than a year earlier; gaming taxes made up around 84% of government revenue in the four-month period.
Casino Enjoy Viña del Mar recorded gross revenue 39.6% below 2019 levels in the first four months of 2026, according to figures from Chile's Superintendencia de Casinos de Juego. Visits fell 71.3% to 162,904. The regulator must relaunch the tender after receiving no operator bids, the report said.
Brazil's Receita Federal reported record revenue of R$11.116bn ($2.2bn) from lotteries and fixed-odds betting between January and September 2026, exceeding the R$9.950bn collected in all of 2025. September collections of R$1.2bn reflected normal activity, with the online betting and advertising ban under Medida Provisoria 1.394/2026 taking effect on 25 September.
