Massachusetts Lottery records US$1.626m in online wagers in first 24 hours
The Massachusetts State Lottery recorded US$1,626,187 in online wagers during the first 24 hours of its service, launched in partnership with Aristocrat Interactive on 27 July. Lottery executive director Mark William Bracken presented the figures to commissioners on 29 July; the lottery awarded a five-year platform contract to Aristocrat Interactive after a competitive procurement.
The first-day figure gives suppliers and lotteries an early measure of demand for Massachusetts’ online lottery service.
