Maryland sports wagering generates $10.9m for state in January

Maryland sports wagering generated $10,928,540 in state contributions in January 2026, Maryland Lottery and Gaming said. Contributions for the first seven months of fiscal 2026 reached $89,533,261, exceeding the $88,923,572 recorded in all of fiscal 2025; January wagers totalled $615,845,563.
Maryland’s January contributions exceeded the prior full fiscal year’s total, tracking sportsbook support for education and general funds.
