Maryland Lottery and Gaming reports $7m in sports wagering contributions for August

Maryland Lottery and Gaming said sports wagering generated $7,018,667 for the state in August 2026. Of that amount, $5,284,434 went to the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future Fund and $1,734,232 from mobile wagering went to the General Fund; bettors wagered $465,906,572 and operators held 9.7% of the handle.
The figures show operators’ state contributions and the scale of Maryland’s sports wagering market.
