Macau collected MOP25.80 billion in gaming tax revenue in Q1 2026, up 15.9% year on year, according to Financial Services Bureau data. Gaming taxes made up about 89.8% of the government’s MOP28.73 billion in current revenue for the quarter. Casino gross gaming revenue reached MOP65.87 billion, an increase of 14.3%.

Macau collected MOP7.65 billion in gaming taxes in May, down 15.6% from April, according to central account data released by the Financial Services Bureau. Revenue for the first five months of 2026 reached MOP42.52 billion, up 14.6% year on year and equal to 46% of the full-year budget estimate.
Macau’s Financial Services Bureau reported gaming tax revenue of MOP34.87bn for January to April 2026, up 16.8% year on year. April collections totalled MOP9.07bn, 18.7% higher than a year earlier; gaming taxes made up around 84% of government revenue in the four-month period.
The Canary Islands collected approximately €31.2m in gambling taxes between January and June 2026, reportedly reaching about 48.5% of its €64.6m annual target. Recreational machines generated revenue more slowly than expected, while bingo recorded modest year-on-year growth in ticket sales; the regional budget analysis indicated no planned gambling tax increases for 2027.
The Canary Islands collected about €31.2m in net gambling tax receipts between January and June 2026, according to the regional budget analysis. That is close to 48.5% of the annual budget target of €64.6m.
Reportedly, Brazil's federal government collected R$11.116bn in tax from betting operations between January and September 2026. The figure covers federal revenue from online betting over the nine-month period.
Argentina collected ARS106.6bn in online betting and gaming taxes during the first eight months of 2026, citing ARCA figures. August receipts totalled ARS16.975bn, down from ARS17.798bn in July. The tax applies to player deposits, with rates varying by operator status.
Data from the Revenue and Customs Control Agency (ARCA) shows that Argentina took in ARS106.6 billion (already $70.5 million) from taxation of online betting and gaming during the first eight months of 2026. August receipts came to ARS16.975 billion ($11.2 million), a decline from the ARS17.798 billion ($11.8 million) recorded in July.
