Lummis releases revised CLARITY Act as tribal gaming group opposes bill
Senate Banking Digital Assets Subcommittee chair Cynthia Lummis released a revised CLARITY Act ahead of a Senate procedural vote, according to reports. Indian Gaming Association chairman David Bean said the changes did not address tribal concerns and urged lawmakers to oppose the bill unless it protects state and tribal gaming laws.
The bill’s proposed digital-asset rules could affect tribal gaming laws and sports and casino event contracts.
