Liquor & Gaming NSW revokes 649 gaming-machine exemptions

Regulation

Liquor & Gaming NSW had revoked 649 exemptions for pubs and clubs by 24 March, with the Independent Liquor & Gaming Authority revoking a further 10. From 1 April 2026, venues must stop operating gaming machines between 4am and 10am daily; 13 exemption applications remained pending, with decisions due by 31 March.

Affected venues must comply with the six-hour daily shutdown as the remaining exemption decisions are finalised.
