La Pampa lawmaker seeks report on child gambling-harm measures

La Pampa legislator Celeste Rivas submitted an information request asking the provincial government what it has done to implement Law No. 3597, enacted in 2024 to address problem gambling among children and adolescents. She asked about school workshops, betting-platform blocking, support lines, training and digital identification systems. Rivas cited the mental health undersecretary's statement that 23% of school-age young people in the province had used betting sites or venues in the past year.
