KSA chair calls for international action against illegal gambling
Kansspelautoriteit chair Michel Groothuizen called for coordinated international action against illegal gambling in a blog following the Netherlands’ annual gambling committee debate. He said half of Dutch gambling expenditure goes to the illegal market and argued that European cooperation is needed to disrupt unlicensed operators and their supporting infrastructure.
The call signals that Dutch enforcement efforts may depend on cooperation with regulators and authorities in other jurisdictions.
