Italian MP calls for gambling reform covering online and land-based sectors
Italian Democratic Party MP Stefano Vaccari criticised the government for focusing gambling reform on online operations and called for rules covering both digital and land-based gambling, according to the report. He cited 2025 state revenue of €11.4bn from gambling, including more than €5bn from land-based play. Vaccari also predicted further concession extensions through 2027 amid political divisions.
A reform covering both digital and land-based gambling could shape rules and concession decisions across Italy’s gambling sector.
