Forza Italia MP Rosaria Tassinari spoke at SIGMA WORLD in Rome. She said innovation in artificial intelligence should not be held back but accompanied by rules and responsibilities.

Tassinari said that in video games artificial intelligence is gaining an important place because it can replace human work. According to the report, she said the principle that AI should remain a tool serving people can also apply to gaming.

The report said legislators now have to answer specific operational questions: the rules for training models, the criteria for checking a system's output, and how to identify who is responsible when a system produces hallucinations. Tassinari said that without clear answers in law there is a risk of a paralysing short circuit. She said responsibility should be proportionate to the real risk.

The report said Italy adopted Law 132 of 2025, which covers areas including work, healthcare, public administration, user protection and copyright. Tassinari recalled that she presented a bill on AI three years ago. She also said that European Parliament data are held on American data centres.
