Italian authorities raid two illegal gambling venues in Reggio Calabria

Enforcement & compliance

Italy’s Financial Police and Customs and Monopolies Agency raided two locations in Reggio Calabria, according to reports. In Bovalino, officials identified an unlicensed gaming venue linked to a Maltese licensee; a separate raid in Condofuri led to the seizure of several gambling machines. Those responsible for the machines face fines of up to EUR 50,000 and possible closure of the club.

The raids expose enforcement risks for unlicensed operators and a Maltese licensee linked to one venue.
