Indiana bans dual-currency sweepstakes casino platforms from 1 July

Regulation

Indiana’s HB 1052 took effect on 1 July 2026, prohibiting online sweepstakes games that simulate casino, lottery or sports-betting formats through dual-currency systems. The law allows civil penalties of up to $100,000 per violation and gives enforcement authority to the Indiana Gaming Commission, with limited exceptions for some skill-based or peer-to-peer platforms. The report says operators including Stake.us and Pulsz blocked access or disabled prize redemption.

Operators must stop offering covered sweepstakes games in Indiana or risk civil penalties.
