Illitch Gaming said it closed its purchase of the remaining 50% ownership of Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City on 3 August. The deal completes a buyout first announced in June, but the ownership transfer still requires New Jersey regulatory approval, the company said.
The acquisition would give Illitch Gaming full ownership of an Atlantic City casino, subject to state approval.

Reportedly, MGCB renewed licences for Detroit’s three commercial casinos after its annual assessments. The renewals allow the properties to operate through September 2027 following checks covering finances, operational conduct and responsible gambling compliance.
Atlantic City’s nine casinos recorded operating profits of $162.4 million in the second quarter, down 9.3% year on year, according to New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement data. Including Caesars Interactive Entertainment New Jersey, the decline was 10.1%; the source also reports first-half gross operating profit fell 15.5% from 2025.

New Jersey’s Division of Gaming Enforcement reported internet gambling revenue of $276.3 million in May, nearly 12% higher than a year earlier and above the prior monthly record of $273.2 million set in December. Combined revenue from casinos, internet gambling and sports betting reached $627.1 million, up 2% year on year; Atlantic City table game revenue fell 6.1%.
Rokker said it acquired the remaining shareholding in Pretty Technical, completing its full ownership of the supplier. Pretty Technical CEO Emma Blaylock will lead the combined business, succeeding Andy Rogers, who will remain involved as founder and chairman. The financial terms were not disclosed.
