Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) has appointed former gaming executive Gavin Isaacs to its board in an advisory role, the company said. His formal appointment remains subject to regulatory review and approval. Isaacs will work with GLI chief executive James Maida and investment firm CVC.
The appointment remains conditional on regulatory review, so its formal status is not yet settled.

Reportedly, Gaming Laboratories International has been cleared to carry out testing for New Zealand's online casino sector, which is now regulated. The approval allows the company to provide testing services to the market.
The Massachusetts Gaming Commission says its regulations cover the permitting, transport, operation, relocation, modification and destruction of slot machines and other electronic gaming devices. Under 205 CMR 144.00, each slot machine must be tested and approved by a commission-certified independent laboratory before use on a gaming floor; the commission identifies GLI and BMM Testlabs as certified labs.
EGT Digital announced an agreement to supply casino content to Esportes da Sorte in Brazil. The company said the portfolio includes more than 200 games, covering online slots and progressive jackpots for desktop and mobile devices.
Uzbekistan's National Agency of Project Management (NAPP) included Gaming Laboratories International among laboratories whose testing and certification reports it accepts, GLI said. The recognition allows operators and suppliers to use GLI reports when launching gambling products in Uzbekistan. The report said four licences had been issued to two operators as the market entered its operational phase.
