Switzerland’s Gespa reported 327 suspicious betting reports involving 307 sports competitions in 2025. The authority said the figures compared with 184 reports across 166 events in 2024, with football accounting for 217 reports and basketball for 23.
The figures give betting operators and sports bodies a measure of suspicious activity reported to Switzerland’s monitoring authority.

Italy’s Financial Intelligence Unit received 5,344 suspicious transaction reports from gambling service providers in the first half of 2026, according to statistics published by the Bank of Italy. That was 16.7% fewer than the 6,417 reports submitted in the same period of 2025; online gambling accounted for 3,652 reports, land-based gambling 1,641 and casinos 51.
Kalshi recorded as many as 400 suspicious trades since the beginning of the year, according to a report citing a media investigation. The report describes continuing scrutiny of possible insider trading on prediction market platforms and says platforms have introduced safeguards; it does not specify the year covered by the figure.
The International Tennis Integrity Agency received 21 suspicious match alerts through its agreements with the regulated betting sector from January to March 2026. One alert concerned a WTA 250 event and four involved men’s Challenger tournaments; the rest related to lower-tier World Tennis Tour events, the ITIA said.
The International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) reported 76 suspicious betting alerts to relevant authorities in the second quarter of 2026, covering nine sports. Football accounted for 25 alerts, followed by esports with 16 and basketball with 10; IBIA said alerts are indicators for investigation, not proof of competition manipulation.
FIFA said its Integrity Task Force found no suspicious betting or signs of match manipulation after monitoring all 104 matches at the 2026 World Cup. The task force concluded its tournament activity and will continue working with members on future competitions.
