Florida Gaming Control Commission receives 2026 IAGR regulatory award

The Florida Gaming Control Commission received the International Association of Gaming Regulators’ 2026 Regulatory Excellence Award for work against illegal gambling. The commission said it had seized more than 14,000 illegal slot machines and over $24 million in illegal gambling proceeds since its creation in July 2022. It also reported closing 184 illegal gambling arcades and making 160 arrests in the past year.

The commission’s reported seizures, closures and arrests offer operators and regulators concrete measures of Florida’s illegal-gambling enforcement.
