FIT representative urges faster reform of Italy’s land-based gambling rules

Regulation

Mario Antonelli of the Italian Federation of Tobacco Retailers has urged Italy’s government to accelerate reform of the land-based gambling network. His appeal follows comments by ADM’s online gaming and betting director Antonio Giuliani, who called for progress at a 1 July conference; Antonelli warned that the reform could miss the tax delegation’s deadline.

Operators face continued uncertainty over fragmented local rules and repeated extensions while the reform remains unresolved.
