Entain said it appointed Sheila Bangalore as an independent non-executive director with immediate effect. The company said the appointment takes its board to 11 members and was made under UK Listing Rules.

Reportedly, the British Horseracing Authority appointed Sir Philip Davies as the Racecourse Association’s interim Member Nominated Director. Davies replaces Wilf Walsh and joined the RCA board earlier this year. He was MP for Shipley from 2005 until 2024 and jointly chaired the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Betting and Gaming.
The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has announced, on an interim basis, that Sir Philip Davies will sit on its board as the Racecourse Association's (RCA) Member Nominated Director. The RCA's own selection process produced the change, which was announced the day after it took effect. Sir Philip takes over from Wilf Walsh, who had been one of the RCA's two Member Nominated Directors on the BHA board since October 2021.
The UK Department for Culture, Media and Sport appointed Emma Floyd as director of sports and gambling, she confirmed in a LinkedIn post. Floyd said she would work with colleagues across government and the sector on its challenges; she joins from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero.

Evoke appointed former William Hill finance executive Janice Duncan as group finance director, the company said, as discussions continue over a possible acquisition by Bally’s Intralot. Evoke faces an 8 June deadline to determine whether the talks will lead to a formal offer; the possible bid was reported to value its shares at 50 pence each.
GamCare announced Chris Thornton’s appointment as director of operations. He will oversee the delivery and performance of the charity’s national and regional services, including the National Gambling Helpline.
