EGP-Fipe president urges sustainable terms for Italy’s land-based gaming overhaul
Emmanuele Cangianelli, president of EGP-Fipe, said at Enada 2026 in Rimini that Italy’s planned reorganisation of land-based gaming should support the legal market and strengthen efforts against illegal gambling. He cited a shift towards online play in 2025 and said bingo costs were unsustainable relative to expected changes; he called for consistent figures from the legislator before impact assessments.
The proposed reorganisation could affect land-based operators’ costs and the balance between legal and illegal gambling.
