Dutch MPs propose online gambling advertising ban as KSA warns of illegal operators
Dutch MPs Mirjam Bikker and Sarah Dobbe have proposed a ban on online gambling advertising, alongside higher penalties and changes to licence and self-exclusion rules. KSA president Michel Groothuizen said more than 60,000 gambling adverts circulate monthly on Facebook and Instagram in the Netherlands, with fewer than 2,000 linked to legal operators; he warned a ban could benefit illegal operators.
