Regulation

Industry sources said the DC Council could pass Councilmember Wendell Felder’s proposed Internet Gaming and Consumer Protection Act before the end of 2026. It remains with the Committee on Human Services, which has not acted since a hearing on May 4.

Passage would establish a regulated online casino market in Washington, DC and prohibit dual-currency sweepstakes casinos.
