Curaçao Gaming Authority replaces licensing portal after data breach

Regulation

The Curaçao Gaming Authority has decided to permanently close its existing licensing portal and end its external provider’s regulatory services after a breach exposed confidential information belonging to gambling licence holders. The authority said it discovered the incident on 17 September; an independent forensic examination is under way, and a temporary replacement portal was planned for 19 October. The CGA said the closure does not invalidate existing licences or remove operators’ obligations.

Operators must continue meeting their regulatory obligations while the authority replaces the compromised licensing system.
