Connecticut towns seek larger share of casino tax revenue
Connecticut municipal leaders are seeking a larger share of state revenue from tribal casino slot machines, arguing that the current distribution no longer reflects earlier commitments. The state expects about $365 million in slot revenue this fiscal year, of which $52.5 million, or about 14%, will go to its 169 cities and towns.
A redistribution could change the casino revenue available to Connecticut municipalities and the state.
