Colorado Division of Gaming reports $3.5bn in sports wagers through July

Regulation

Colorado's Division of Gaming reported more than $47 million in sports betting taxes for fiscal 2025-26 and $3.5 billion in wagers through July. Gambling-harm advocates cited financial risks, while Sports Betting Alliance president Joe Maloney said regulated betting gives customers an alternative to illegal offshore sites. Governor Jared Polis signed a law in 2026 introducing deposit limits and a credit card ban.

Operators must account for new deposit limits and a credit card ban under Colorado's 2026 betting law.
