Coljuegos created a register for importers and sellers of electronic slot machines under Resolution 8594 of 2025, requiring machines to be registered before import into Colombia. Importers and sellers have 45 calendar days from publication of Resolution 20260001234 on 26 January 2026 to register, and must report each machine's destination within 10 days of customs clearance. Coljuegos said the measure is intended to strengthen controls and address illegal operations.

Importers and sellers must meet new registration and reporting requirements before placing slot machines in Colombia.
