Chaco's Chamber of Deputies has received Bill 2640/2026, which proposes amending Law 1083-A, the law that created the Re.D.A.M. register of child-support debtors, to restrict access to gambling. The bill was presented last week by deputies of the Frente Chaqueño interbloc, is in the legislative process and still has to be debated before it can become law.

According to the text, people on the register could not enter or remain in casinos, gaming rooms, bingo halls, agencies and other venues authorised to offer games of chance and betting in the province. The restriction would also cover digital platforms authorised in Chaco and would last while the person remains on the register.

Venues and operators would have to put in place identification and verification mechanisms to check a person's registration status before allowing entry. For online platforms, the check would have to be made before an account is enabled and transactions are permitted. If a user is added to the register after opening an account, the operator would have to suspend the ability to place new bets.

The bill also provides for an automated and secure query system, which the Executive would implement through the Re.D.A.M. office together with Lotería Chaqueña. Information obtained could be used only to check whether a person is on the register and could not be stored, sold or processed for advertising, commercial or profiling purposes. Lotería Chaqueña would be responsible for applying the sanctions set out for breaches.
