Catalonia assigns tax authority gaming unit 2027 budget tax-benefit review

Regulation

Catalonia’s government assigned its Directorate-General for Taxes and Gambling responsibility for preparing the tax-benefit report accompanying the region’s 2027 budget, according to a report on 20 July 2026. The report will quantify the fiscal impact of exemptions, reductions and other tax benefits within the directorate’s remit; the order does not directly change gambling regulation.

The review will provide operators and regulators with an assessment of the fiscal cost of tax benefits affecting the sector.
