Carabinieri investigate six over alleged illegal horse races and betting in Sicily
Carabinieri in Termini Imerese notified six people that preliminary investigations had concluded into alleged organisation of four clandestine horse races in Termini Imerese and Trabia, according to the report. The races reportedly took place between June 2024 and January 2025; investigators also examined alleged illegal betting and animal mistreatment, and the inquiry was coordinated by the Termini Imerese prosecutor’s office.
The investigation concerns alleged illegal betting activity alongside horse-racing events in Sicily.
