Cantabria enacts gambling tax changes and machine inactivity rules
Cantabria’s parliament approved a fiscal and administrative measures law updating gambling taxes and administrative charges. Operators may temporarily deactivate up to 15% of their authorised machines each year, provided they maintain net staffing; the tax charge on inactive machines falls by 90% during the period, subject to the law’s conditions.
Operators can reduce tax charges on temporarily inactive machines if they meet the staffing and reporting conditions.
