Regulation

Buenos Aires province’s gambling committee is due to begin examining an online betting bill on 14 October, reportedly. Deputies Facundo Tignanelli and Micaela Olivetto introduced the proposal, which includes real-time facial biometric checks, session limits, advertising restrictions and a requirement for licensees to have 100% national capital. Supporters aim to hold a joint committee meeting on 19 October and seek a chamber debate on 20 October, subject to legislative progress.

The bill could impose new access, advertising and capital requirements on online betting operators in Buenos Aires province.
