Brazilian court ruling puts operator responsible-gambling monitoring under scrutiny

Enforcement & compliance

An opinion article says a Brazilian betting operator was found liable at first instance for failing to monitor and intervene over a player’s compulsive betting behaviour. The ruling highlights operators’ duty to monitor compulsive betting and intervene under Brazil’s requirements.
